This case study follows on from the story regarding Alec. After the family member partners became aware of the illegal activity, a showdown took place. Unfortunately this did not involve the Police and the matter was dealt with by the family. The offending family member, although stripped of his partnership, was allowed to remain with the firm in a senior managerial role, with Alec as part of his team.
Over time, this family member became suspicious of Alec and started blaming him for his being caught out, putting intolerable pressure on him to the point where Alec had no option but to resign to escape the threats and stress.
Alec again contacted the ‘whistle-blowers‘ service for help . The service arranged for the management team to contact him back to deal with these concerns in a constructive manner.
